MCSC Investigators receive nearly 800 calls every year to help find missing children. Searching families, anonymous tipsters, law enforcement partners, government contacts – all asking for help to bring missing children home.
The first Canadian statistics on missing children were released in 1987. There were 57,233 children reported missing that year. In 2017, there were 47,168 reports of missing children in Canada as reported by the RCMP using numbers provided by the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC).
A parent most feared nightmare is a missing child. Though we Canadians are living in a relatively safe society, children emergencies are a fact of life and we hear about children abduction, runaway and accident every day.
This is why we come up with Child Protection Kit, a great solution to help families, daycares, emergency service providers and other people who are taking care of our future hopes in case of any emergency.
